Meet the tank/library art car, the weirdest Ford Falcon ever made

So March 5h was book day. You probably didn’t know that... It’s not like librarians are known for being super loud about things, but one man (and 7UP) certainly made a splash with their Ford Falcon-Turned-Book-Tank...

Buenos Aires-based artist Raul Lemesoff calls the creation “Weapons of Mass Instruction,” and he tours Argentina offering free books. The “Weapons of Mass Instruction,” tank/library art car started life as a 1979 Ford Falcon, but now features over 900 books, a rotating upper turret, and, of course, a tank barrel.

The “Weapons of Mass Instruction” Tank is weird, that’s for sure, but you don’t have to go to Argentina just to see some weird cars. Houston, a hotbed for the whole “art car” movement, presents you with the Art Car Museum.

Known as “Garage Mahal,” by locals, the Art Car Museum has been showcasing both “art cars,” and other forms of contemporary art and music since 1998.
