Bolinas Beach, CA.  Finding this hidden gem is half the fun.  The long stretches of beach, the tide pools, and the downtown shopping all combine to create an amazing seaside town.

Scarborough, Maine.  It's certainly not a tropical beach, but the beautiful views, the white sand of Scarborough Beach State Park, and Maine's largest salt marsh will give you a summer you'll never forget.

St. Simons Island, Georgia.  A beautiful island off the Georgian coast, St. Simons is a century-old resort community.  The mossy oaks and winding roads add up to old-fashioned gracious southern living. Be sure to visit St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum when you're there.

Provincetown, Massachusetts.  Affectionately known as P-town, this seaside town has proudly cultivated a thriving gay community.  Besides the obvious attractions of a Cape Cod beach, there's also the Provincetown Portuguese Bakery, Provincetown Fudge Factory and the town boasts tons of galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and bars.  You'll never be bored in Provincetown.

St. Augustine, Florida.  Between the 42 miles of coastline and the 450 years of history, St. Augustine is a destination for beach bums and history buffs alike.  The stunning architecture and the Spanish food make this a truly unique American seaside. St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum and St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum are two great attractions for the family.
